Job description

Job Role: Trainee Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Contract: Mon-Fri (8:30am-3:30pm)

Location: Wakefield (WF2)

A School in Wakefield are looking to expand their support staff. We are looking for dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistants who are looking to gain experience supporting SEN children aged 5-13. The successful candidate will be supporting children with a range of needs including Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and ADHD by providing interventions, supporting with classroom activities and assisting the Teacher with general behaviour management.

 

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have an overseas criminal clearance or willing to apply for one
  • Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
  • Previous or relevant experience working with SEND children
  • Minimum of three months UK residency
  • We do not accept those on skilled worker visas
  • Please ensure you have references available upon request covering the last 24 months of employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
