Full time until May half term in the first instance.

Our partner school based in Emsworth are seeking to employ a temporary teacher of Geography to cover for the first half of the summer term with much potential to continue to the end of the summer term depending on the absent member of staff. You would be required to teach a mixture of KS3 and KS4 and support the department and wider school community with additional duties as required. The school is led by a highly regarded headteacher whose staff wellbeing is a priority.

The school follows the AQA Level 1/Level 2 GCSE (9-1). The school operates an all-through curriculum, meaning that throughout their time with them, students will build on their skills in different subjects. Their curriculum is both broad and balanced and follows the National Curriculum for Maintained Schools

The school are looking for someone who:

• Can build rapport with their students quickly to capture engagement
• Can promote a love for the subject and enable students to identify with it in the real world
• Is experienced in teaching KS3 and KS4 Geography, although applications from other humanities teachers are welcome  
• Is willing to plan and prepare lessons as required working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school community
• Has good classroom management skills
• Is not phased by working with lower level learners and has a genuine passion to enable all pupils to reach their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
