Team Teach - Behaviour Support Mentor for Pupil Referral Unit

A Pupil Referral Unit located in the Billingham area are searching for a Behaviour Support Mentor to work with their Primary and Secondary pupils who are unable, for various reasons, to continue in mainstream education.

This role will be held on a full time basis and will commence as soon as possible, it will be ongoing for the duration of the academic yearhowever there is strong potential for a permanent contract should you be successful in the role.

You will be supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties and therefore will have a sympathetic nature and record of effective behaviour management. You must have a Team Teach qualification to be considered for this position. The candidate will need to be confident in managing challenging behaviour as well as being enthusiastic and a positive role model for the students! You will be working with children from a mix of backgrounds, including children in looked after care. You will play a large role in the monitoring of students progress and development both in terms of their academic and personal achievements.
