Primary and secondary provision - complex physical and medical needs

An Ofsted 'OUTSTANDING' SEN school in Little Lever, Bolton are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support children with Autism within their school on a long term basis.

This school is a 130 place school that supports pupils with complex medical, communication and physical needs. Some children also have social and emotional needs that can result in challenging behaviours. The school caters for pupils aged 4 - 16 throughout 10 mixed ability classes. Pupil's communication needs result in alternative methods of communication being used around school, such as iPads, PECs and sgnalong. Promoting independence is a main focus within this 'Outstanding' school therefore staff that share this passion is essential.

The Teaching Assistant will need to be flexible and have the ability to adapt to all age ranges and with different abilities.

It would be highly desirable for the Teaching Assistant to have experience of;

* Pupils with ASC
* Personal Care
* School based experience is also highly desirable

A small number of pupils within this school also use signalong as their first language therefore Teaching Assistants with Signalong training are highly sought after.

The school are looking for individuals to start from September and will continue on a temporary basis with a high potential of becoming permanent for the right person.
