The Role:
Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit multiple TAs for a large secondary academy in Basingstoke who are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants and Graduates interested in gaining education based work experience to aid them in the new academic year. The school have a high number of students with behavioural and learning difficulties and they are looking to increase their current pool of teaching assistants to ensure they are able to give the correct level of attention to all pupils.
As part of this role you may be expected to work one on one with pupils, in small groups and as part of the classroom as a whole and will be required to be flexible and engaging at all times to allow the school to best use your skills to the advantage of the students. This is excellent experience for all aspiring teachers who would like to apply for either a SCITT or PGCE in the near future, and who would like to earn whilst this is happening. Daily pay starts at £56 a day.
The School:
The school is a large academy in the heart of the Popley area of Basingstoke with great travel links to the outer Basingstoke area via public transport and easy access via car north/southbound on the M3.
The school are currently a requires improvement school however they are looking to change this with a new Head Teacher and newly joining a large academy trust to enable them to get the additional support and funding to turn themselves around.
