Teaching assistant/Tutor- Bermondsey

We are looking for a competent teaching assistant/tutor to deliver creative 1:1 Literacy , Numeracy and Science sessions for 2 secondary pupils who have autism and both present with challenging behaviours. This will be delivering 1:1 tailored learning to meet the needs of each student in the form of morning or afternoon sessions. This may take place in libraries, student homes or in one of the schools centres. You must have some SEN or behaviour support experience, be resilient, innovative and have knowledge of up to date safeguarding policies.

Staff benefits:

  • £75-£85 daily rate on PAYE - no hidden fees
  • Contract of permanent employment is available after an extended probation period of 16 weeks
  • Paid training is offered on school site and induction programme is provided in your first week

Teaching assistant tutor specification:

  • You will have experience of working with Autism , SEN or behavioural needs as a teaching assistant or tutor
  • Able to travel to 2 young people in Bermondsey in either their homes, public spaces or in the schools centres
  • Can deliver 1:1 support for individual needs
  • Able to deliver sessions from 8.30am- 3.30pm
  • Degree or equivalent qualifications

You will need plenty of enthusiasm, and the ability to be creative to plan and deliver engaging sessions for hard to reach young people!
