Teaching Assistant role - Maths - Lewisham - November 2019.
Teaching assistant required for ‘Good’ Secondary school based in Lewisham to support in the Mathematics department, starting from November 2019.
Rate: GBP65 to GBP75 per day.
Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant specialising in Mathematics to join a successful secondary school based in Lewisham – who are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support KS3/Ks4 Mathematics. This is a full time Teaching Assistant role which will commence from November 2019.
The desired Teaching Assistant will be working in GCSE classes supporting in a general classroom environment and also assisting individual children who need extra support to reach their full potential in Mathematics. The successful candidate will be working to provide effective support to pupils with SEN/health needs and form part of a dedicated and supportive team.
This is a larger than average sized secondary school which has high standards and expects the best provision for the children under its care. It is led by a positive leadership team and has a well-structured programme across all year groups.
To be considered for the position of Teaching Assistant you will need the following:
- Hold relevant qualification (maths orientated degree)
- Have experience working within a UK school – preferred but not essential
- Have a genuine desire to support children within the school
- Have a passion for teaching with the ability to assist teachers with raising attainment in Mathematics
