Teaching Assistant required for South Croydon SEN School

Are you looking for a full time teaching assistant position?

Would you like to work in an Ofsted rated 'good' SEN primary school?

I would like to hear from you if the answer to these questions is yes! I am working with a large primary school that caters for students with profound and multiple learning difficulties, including moderate to severe autism.

It would be beneficial if you have experience of working with children who have severe special needs, however it is not essential. I would also welcome an application from you if you have experience working in the care sector, as providing personal care for students with complex needs is going to be an integral part of this job.

The position available is to work in a key stage 1 class, supporting the class teacher and working collaboratively with 3 other teaching assistants who will be in the room.

Relevant training in Makaton, PECS, moving and handling, first aid or safeguarding is desirable however not essential. Once registered with Teaching Personnel you will be eligible to book yourself onto any of the training courses that we offer, which will either be free or at a reduced cost.
