Job Title: Teaching Assistant in Reading - Primary Schools

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and determined individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in Reading. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers and students to support their reading development and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one support to students with reading difficulties, using tailored approaches to improve their literacy skills
• Assist teachers in delivering reading lessons and activities, including preparing materials and resources
• Work with small groups of students to develop their reading comprehension and fluency
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized reading plans
• Support the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• A proactive and determined personality with a passion for teaching and learning
• Experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Relevant qualifications or experience in reading instruction or literacy support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
