Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil & Caerphilly
Contract: Full-time and part-time roles available – flexible working
Pay Rate: From £92.63 per day
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are looking for caring and enthusiastic qualified and unqualified Teaching Assistants to work across primary, secondary, and SEN schools throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil, and Caerphilly. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who enjoys supporting young people and wants to gain valuable experience within a school setting.
About the Role
- Support pupils of various ages and abilities, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils build confidence and develop key learning skills
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet individual pupil needs
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
- Patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning
- Reliable, flexible, and adaptable to different school environments
- Confident working with children from a range of backgrounds and age groups
- A strong team player with good communication skills
- A Welsh speaker (desirable but not essential)
Requirements
Teaching Personnel can support you in obtaining the following:
- Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- References covering the past two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
