Teaching Assistant (Possible ALN Support)

Location: Rhondda Cynon Taff
Contract: Full Time, Until the end of the academic year
Pay Rate: £89.38 per day (£13.75ph)
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible

Are you a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a supportive school environment?

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to work across primary settings. The role may involve supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.

About the Role

• Provide support to pupils across the primary age range, including those who may have ALN such as ASD, ADHD, or speech & language needs.
• Assist class teachers in delivering engaging, accessible lessons and classroom activities.
• Offer one-to-one and small-group support to promote confidence, independence, and key learning skills.
• Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider support staff to meet individual learning needs.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Patient, caring, and understanding of children’s individual needs.
• Passionate about supporting children to overcome barriers to learning.
• Flexible, reliable, and confident working in different classroom settings.
• A strong team player with good communication skills.
• Experienced working with primary-age pupils or within an educational environment (desirable but not essential).

Requirements

Teaching Personnel provides guidance and support in obtaining:
• Education Workforce Council (EWC) Registration
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• References covering the last two years of employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
