Job Title: Nursery Teaching Assistant
Start date: 4th March 2024
Hours: Mon- Fri 8:30-3:30
Pay: £11.85
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant to join a vibrant nursery in Cardiff.
The nursery consists of 80 pupils aged 3-4, split into morning and afternoon sessions. They operate on a philosophy of encouraging independent learning and the class setting is all open plan, providing a stimulating environment for all their pupils to thrive.
The successful candidate will-
- Work closely with groups of children, using their own initiative to provide support and guidance where needed.
- Have a confident personality and a love for working with young children are essential for this role.
- Have previous experience working with children however this doesn’t have to be in a school setting.
- Be caring and nurturing to provide social and emotional support.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered on the update service
- Register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Provide 2 years of good- excellent references.
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of £11.85 per hour. The initial contract will run until the end of the academic year, with the potential for extension.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
