Teaching Assistant – KS2 (Y3/Y4)

Location: Preston (PR1)
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:30pm

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Preston, supporting a mixed Year 3/Year 4 class. This is a general classroom support role, working closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Assist individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support with classroom management and behaviour strategies.

Requirements:

• Experience supporting children in KS2 is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• A proactive and caring approach to supporting children’s learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
