Teaching Assistant
Join a small welcoming secondary school to support students with Special Educational and Additional Needs. This role is ideal for any graduates considering a career in teaching and looking to gain valuable school based experience.
Highlights of this Teaching Assistant role;
- Working 1:1 and in small groups with students with Special Educational Needs, Additional Needs and Disabilities
- Ideal role for any experienced Teaching Assistants or graduates looking to gain school based experience prior to teacher training
- Small welcoming secondary school located in Stockport, accessible from the A57 and M60
- GBP1250 - GBP1350 per month
Successful candidates will work directly with the schools Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) to support students with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP) and additional needs. They will work on a 1:1 and small group basis supporting students with any academic, emotional and social needs. Successful candidates must be willing to work with students with a variety of needs including Autism, behavioural difficulties and attachment disorder.
Experience of working with young people with Special Educational and Additional Needs is desirable. We also welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience such as Youth Work or Sports Coaching or graduates looking to pursue a career in teaching.
This is a smaller than average secondary school welcoming students from a diverse community. The school is committed to ensuring the best teaching and learning to ensure that all students achieve their academic potential.
This secondary school is located in Stockport and is easily accessible from the M57 and M60 motor way. For those on public transport, the school is accessible by public transport links from the city centre and surrounding areas of Stockport and Tameside.
