Join a popular secondary school in Manchester seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis following the re-opening of secondary schools.

The successful Teaching Assistant will work under the direction of teachers and the school SENCO to support students across years 7 – 11 including students with Special Educational Needs.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Supervise and provide support for pupils, including those with special needs.
• Assist with the development and implementation of Education/Behaviour plans.
• Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
• Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
• Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
• Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.

This popular secondary academy is located in Manchester just a short drive from the city centre. For those on public transport, the school is accessible via trains from the city centre and bus routes from the surrounding areas of Manchester, Stockport and Tameside. For those who drive, the school is accessible via the M60 and A57.
