KS1 & KS2  Teaching Assistant (Monday – Friday) – Nottingham 

Teaching Personnel are looking for a reliable and confident Teaching Assistant who is able to join one of our partnership schools based in Nottingham. We are looking for Teaching Assistant, who will also have the ability to provide 1:1 support to individual children. Primary Schools in Nottingham are looking for an individual who will be committed and enthusiastic in order to establish positive relationships between students and others.

To be considered for the role, you must be able to: 

  • Reinforcing lessons presented by teachers by reviewing material with students one-on-one or in small groups.
  • Supporting children inside and outside of the classroom, keeping them focused on their tasks.
  • Supporting the social and emotional development of pupils, reporting any issues when required.
  • Developing coping strategies, enhancing their motivation, raising their aspirations and encouraging them to re-engage in learning.
  • Take into account the range of complex issues that usually lay behind problems with learning and achievement (e.g., bereavement, lack of confidence/low self-esteem, low aspirations, mental health issues, relationship difficulties, bullying, peer pressure, family issues/concerns)

To be considered for the role, you must have:

  • Relevant experience within primary schools
  • GCSE, A level or Degree  (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of the curriculum
  • Enhanced DBS on the online update service
  • Right to work in the UK
  • 2 relevant references that we can approach
  • A confident approach, knows how to adapt well in different situations
