Teaching Assistant Role:
- Provide 1:1, 2:1 or group support for children who need additional help
- Work under the guidance of the classroom teacher to support children and control behaviour in the classroom
- Social and emotional support
- Encourage positive behaviour in and around the school
- Helping with school trips, events and outings
The School:
- SEN School based in Colchester
- Aim to deliver a high quality educational experiences to all pupils
- Supports students with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs
- Students aged between 10-16, each with their own EHCP
Ideal Candidate:
- Team Teach Trained!
- Experience working with children is desirable but not essential
- Have a passion for wanting to make a positive difference in children’s lives
- An energetic person and patient person, confident working with challenging behaviour
- Can support small groups of children and on 1:1 basis
- Candidates with a ‘can do’ attitude willing to take on a challenge

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
