SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you an experienced Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant?
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Mainstream Primary School in North Liverpool , who are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant, who can support a Special Educational Needs pupil in Year 2. The role would be working one to one with the Year 2 pupil, on a full time long term basis (potentially an ongoing permenant position). The pupil has diagnosed ASD (autism) and can be quite challening with regards to behaviour, so the ideal candidate will have strong behaviour management and the ability to adjust learning styles to suit the pupils needs.
The class Teaching is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can support the individual pupil throughout the school day, but also help other pupils in the class when possible.
The role will be full time starting in September. For the ideal candidate, a permanant contract could be offered.
The role:
- Start date, September 2020
- Primary School
- Full time, fixed term contract
- Monday – Friday
- Hours approximately, 8:30am – 3:30pm
- North Liverpool Area
- Salary GBP10 - GBP11 per Hour
The ideal Candidate:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment
- Experienced working alongside children with special educational needs
- Experience working with individuals with autism
- Confident dealing with challenging behaviour
- Good command of written and spoken language
- Patient and supportive manner

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
