Teaching Assistant

The Headteacher and Governing Body of a wonderful and diverse Primary School on the outskirts of Preston are keen to secure a full time teaching assistant to join their team of support staff. This role is to provide general class support in the schools Year 2 class. This role would involve working alongside small groups and also providing 1:1 interventions to pupils with special educational needs (SEN). The working hours for this role will be 9:00-15:15 term time only.

Experience supporting in the classroom within the last 18 months is an essential requirement. Practitioners who are passionate about making a positive impact to the lives of children are encouraged to apply for this post. The role is to begin from 24^th February 2020 and will continue for the remainder of the academic year, with the potential of a permanent contract from September 2020.

The Headteacher has expressed they would ideally like a Level 3 qualified candidate, however they are considering Level 2 qualified candidates with strong experiences. The school are invested in the development of staff and the successful candidate would be involved in all aspects of school life and offered a full induction, as well as being offered regular CPD opportunities.
