We are currently recruiting for SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant to start ASAP to work in a school in Rotherham, S63, that are currently in need of a long-term Teaching Assistants to help out in the Summer term through to the new academic year. The school is part of a large academy that we work closely with, supplying staff to all their schools in the South Yorkshire area. The School is an Ofsted rated “Good” with high standards and the aim to deliver “High quality education that meets the academic, spiritual, creative and physical needs of all children, and nurtures individual talent.”

Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered). Teaching Personnel can support your application should this be required.

Full time

Pay: 67 – 80/day

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm.

The candidate         

The ideal candidate will have an outgoing and resilient personality and be able to work on their own initiative in regards to ensuring that health and safety procedures are met, and the welfare of the children. You will ideally have experience of working in an SEN setting, but applications will be judged on an individual basis. Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and team teach/ moving, and handling training is desirable, but not essential as we can provide training through our CPD academy.

What we can provide

Teaching Personnel are education specialists with 23 years’ experience in the field. You will be provided with your own specialist consultant who will take care of your needs and advise you through the clearing and work process. You will have access to free safeguarding training and an online diary so you can manage your work times more efficiently. You will also have access to our CPD Academy, in which you will be able to attend training courses in order to aid your personal development in your career.
