Do you have experience working with Special Educational Needs and Behavioural needs? Are you looking for a full-time position in a local primary school as a EYFS teaching assistant?
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a primary school in Heywood (Ol10) to aid their recruitment for a full time EYFS teaching assistant. This position is to work with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and support individual children with challenging behaviour on a full-time basis throughout their journey in the EYFS.
Requirements for this EYFS teaching assistant include:
- Previous classroom-based experience (paid or voluntary)
- Suitable qualifications (level 1 or above) as a TA or a related degree
- Knowledge of safeguarding and primary school and/or Nursery procedures
- A caring personal nature to support a special needs child
- Full time availability to work in a specified role, initially on an agency basis

The school is situated in the outskirts of Heywood with good connecting transport links and offers secure onsite parking to all staff. The incoming EYFS teaching assistant will work directly with the SEN co-ordinator and external agencies to ensure the children have access to the curriculum and the opportunity to develop and progress with others in EYFS. Previous experience within a EYFS background such as a Nursery is a preference for the school, you will be fully supported and can possibly secure a permanent position.
Teaching Personnel are recruiting for this position starting April 2021, there is an opportunity to earn a permanent school-based contract if successful. Please submit a CV in response via the “apply now”
