Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a client school in Blaenau Gwent who are looking for a fluent welsh speaking Teaching Assistant to work in a Nursery Class in a fluent welsh medium Primary School from after October half term.

We would welcome applications from any background, however the ability to communicate through the medium of welsh is essential for this post.

Position: Teaching Assistant

Pay: GBP10 per hour including National Insurance, Pension and Holiday Pay.

Start Date: 2nd November 2020

End Date: End of academic year  

Interview: Interview is likely to be held via Zoom or Teams

Closing date: 23rd Oct 2020

Essential for this role:

-          The ability to communciate effectively and confidently through the medium of welsh.

-          A CHILD ONLY Enhanced DBS (We can help you obtain this if you haven’t already got one).

-          You will need to be registered with the Education Workforce Council as a Support Learning Worker. Education Workforce Council (EWC) is the independent regulator in Wales for Teachers, Further Education Teachers and learning support staff. Registration with the EWC is a legal requirement for anyone who works in a Welsh School.

Desirable for this role:

-          Previous experience working in the education or care sector. Although desirable, it is not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
