SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you looking to support young individuals with learning difficulties in a school environment?
We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support secondary learners in the classroom age 11- 19 years whilst they study flexible and engaging projects which are varied and structured to meet the national curriculum.
The students have a range of needs from SLD, PMLD and ASC, therefore need special attention to assist them with their learning and behaviour needs. Some students may need further attention with communication and personal care, so applicants should be aware of what may be required of them.
The ideal applicant should be compassionate and enthusiastic about learning, whilst committed to helping create a supportive and engaging environment.
Due to the nature of the needs of the children, candidates who are trained in the following would be ideal:
Team-Teach
Autism Awareness/ Supporting Children with ASC
PECS/ Makaton
Both personal and professional experience will be taken into account.
Please be aware you must have a child workforce only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one.
