Are you looking for a Teaching Assistant role in the Wokingham area?

Are you enthusiastic and have a passion for helping develop children emotionally and academically?

The school works together with parents, external professionals and young people building strong relationships and helping them realise their aspirations and goals and lead full and purposeful lives. The school believes in supporting young people according to their specific needs to enable them to build trusting and healthy relationships, make progress with learning, to manage behaviours and personal accomplishments

Personal qualities required:

  • A good listener and sensitivity to pupils needs
  • A sense of responsibility
  • Positive behaviour management
  • A good sense of humour

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Support learning for individual pupils and small groups under the guidance of the teacher and assist with the implementation of lesson plans and facilitate more ambitious learning activities
  • Enable pupils to become independent learners within their own ability and provide positive support under the direction of the teacher motivating and encouraging pupils whilst establishing a supportive relationship
  • Liaise with class teachers in devising complimentary learning activities
