Graduate Teaching Assistant Needed

Pay GBP60+ a day

Secondary School - Full time, Starting in September

We are working alongside the Head of a large secondary school who is looking for a full time Teaching Assistant, to start in September. We are looking for a recent graduate to join a successful team of teaching assistants who can bring new and bright ideas. You will be working in nurture base attached to the school supporting pupils with learning difficulties aged 12-15. In previous years graduates have worked very well with the pupils promoting learning and well being which is why the headteacher is keen to continue the trend for the new year. The school is located north Monmouthshire towards Crickhowell. 

The Graduate Teaching Assistant role:

  • Full time based in a Secondary School 
  • Fantastic rates of pay - GBP10+ per hour 
  • Support year 7 - 10 pupils in small groups in a nurture base 
  • Possibility of a fixed term contract offered to the right candidate

The teaching assistant:

  • Recent graduate - Psychology, Drama, Sport, Youth Work, English, Maths, Science  
  • Have experience working with children and young people (Can be voluntary or personal)
  • Have a confident and friendly personality
  • Remain calm in stressful situations
  • Show a genuine interest of working with children and young people
  • Must have your own transport

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
