Teaching Assistant

Here at Teaching Personnel, we are very happy to announce that there is a full time role available for an SEN teaching assistant in the Sutton area. The school aims to supply the candidate with a fulfilling and supportive work environment, allowing the candidate to contribute effectively to the vision and values of the school.

The position would be ideally suited for an experienced Teaching assistant with a high level of experience working with pupils on a 1.1 basis.

The role in question is primarily based around 1.1 work with a pupil with SEN, the pupil in question would require help with their daily school activities. This would involve, but may not be limited to: behavioural guidance, confidence and self esteem boosting/encouragement and high levels of positive reinforcement.

The role would also include:

• Aiding with the set up and set down of the classroom
• Maintaining high levels of health and safety over the pupils
• Aiding the teacher with the day to day running of the class

The ideal candidate would have:

• Experience working in a Teaching Assistant role
• Experience working with SEN pupils
• Safeguarding qualifications (Desired not essential)
• Teaching assistant qualifications
• A hard working and positive attitude to all aspects of work
