Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for flexible Teaching Assistants that are seeking to work within secondary schools this academic year within the Wigan LEA.

With an increase in demand for support staff leading into the back end of the academic year, Teaching Personnel wish to hear from Graduates, aspiring teachers and experienced Teaching Assistants that wish to work on a flexible, full time or part time basis.

• Teaching Assistant – Full-time, part-time, and flexible ad-hoc positions available
• Gain invaluable experience in a number of Secondary schools and Academies within the Wigan LEA
• Supporting pupils across Key Stage Three and GCSE, working in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
• Previous experience within a Secondary school setting is preferred however not essential

Teaching Personnel will be able to offer regular Teaching Assistant work on a full-time, flexible and part time basis covering staff absences or assisting with short term intervention needs.

• You will be assisting the teacher in class helping them manage behaviour of students
• You will lead small intervention sessions with students that are behind in work.
• Working alongside pupils on 1:1 basis
• Receive complete support from senior members of staff and heads of department
• Opportunity to cover lessons, delivering pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
