Are you looking to work in an Alternative provision?
Do you have experience of supporting young people who display challenging behaviours?
A school in Oldham is a Primary Pupil Referral Unit. They are currently looking for Support staff to work in their vibrant team to support young children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The school is a small provision, with class sizes up to about 10 pupils per class. As support staff in the school you will need to keep and eye on the pupils to make sure that they are fully engaged in the class, keep noise down to a minimum and then also make sure that you support the Teacher.
The pupils age between 4-11 and can present challenging behaviours, so you will need to be on your toes and make sure that you are able to notice when a situation may happen.
The school is graded Ofsted 'GOOD' and is currently working at an 'OUTSTANDING' level, so any apply staff members will need to have relevant experience of working in a PRU or suitable qualifications. The school is a Team-Teach Trained school so this is desirable but not essential.
If you have relevant experience and or qualifications then please send in your CV!
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
