Teaching Assistant

Job description

A school in Preston are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to offer additional support across the KS2. The school are utilising additional funding to have an additional TA who can work and support across different classes supporting in English and Maths lessons with the view to increasing attainment in core lessons. The school are also keen to appoint someone who is comfortable assisting English and Maths or has an understanding level where with the teacher’s support can aid the children ensuring progress each lesson. 

The candidate:

Important to have a positive and compassionate nature. Create strong working relationships quickly and effectively with pupils and staff.  Be approachable and possess good communication skills. Can assess and identify attainment gaps and weaknesses, and relay this back to the lead teacher. Install and innovative and engaging atmosphere for all pupils.
