Early Years Teaching Assistant - Wimborne

Teaching Personnel's Dorset SEN Branch has an exciting opportunity for an Early Years/KS1 Teaching Assistant Level 2 to work within a SEN School in Wimborne. Required to start in September, or October for the ideal candidate. Our client wishes to appoint an experienced, dedicated and flexible person to join their team on a supply basis.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an excellent Early Years/KS1 practitioner with a strong desire to provide our learners with the best learning opportunities
  • Be committed to support high quality, creative teaching and learning
  • Be highly motivated and enjoy working with children
  • Be able to support the progress and success of the children
  • Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills and have NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications/experience. 

The Early Years role would involve:

  • Leading the small groups within the class with all work previously prepared by the class teacher
  • The hours are from 8:50 to 15:10 daily, term time only
  • Participating in Numeracy, Literacy and Phonics intervention sessions
  • Taking part in extra curricular activities such as day trips, Christmas fayres and similar whole-School activities
