Teaching Personnel are currently seeking Teaching Assistants in the Portsmouth area!
We are looking for candidates who are willing to work 1-1 and in small groups, to mentor and work alongside primary, secondary and SEN students to help them succeed in both their studies as well as offering support in their personal lives. Schools in and around this area maintain high standards consistently and this is often reflected in Ofsted results. We welcome teaching assistants with various levels of experience and encourage anyone seeking a new challenge to apply for these roles.
The perfect candidate will have:
- Previous experience of meeting young people's Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs would be desirable however this role often relies on having a great attitude towards supporting individual and varying needs.
- A passion to make a positive difference in a young person's life.
- Experience with special educational needs is desired but not essential
- Desire to want to work as a teaching assistant or want to gain experience in the classroom whilst studying to become a qualified teacher.
In return you will:
- Earn between GBP10-GBP11.50ph as a Teaching Assistant
- Gain the necessary experience prior to a PGCE or similar teaching programme
- Learn from a supportive team before taking the next steps in teaching
- Successful teaching assistants will join our client schools on a flexible basis, and will work with existing teaching staff to ensure students are focused and performing well during their lessons.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
