Join a large secondary school in Bury with a new SEN department designed specifically for pupils who can become overwhelmed in mainstream classrooms and require additional 1:1 support.

  • Full-time Teaching Assistant position.
  • Required to start ASAP.
  • Earn up to GBP1400 per month.
  • Gain valuable experience within an educational setting prior to teacher training.
  • Work with pupils across all year groups aged 11-16.
  • Must have experience working in an educational setting or skills that are transferrable to the educational sector.

Working as a Teaching Assistant will involve the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils in both mainstream classrooms and within the SEN department.
  • Working alongside senior members of staff in order to plan intervention sessions.
  • Monitor pupils progress and report this back to Heads of Department.
  • Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and specific SEN such as Autism and ADHD.

Our client school in Bury has been recently refurbished with new outdoor grounds and modern facilities in most departments. The school is easily accessible via the M60/A56 and via public transport routes from surrounding areas such as Prestwich, Bolton and Whitefield.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
