Calling all Teaching Assistants in York – Opportunities Starting September 2025!
Due to increased demand, exciting new opportunities are available for Primary School Teaching Assistants in the York area, starting in the new academic year (September 2025). These supply-based roles offer flexibility, variety, and the chance to work across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.
Whether you're an experienced TA or just starting out, we have placements to match your skills and preferences.
The Role:
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary depending on your experience and the needs of the school, but may include:

Leading small group interventions or academic boosters
-
Providing 1:1 support for pupils with behavioural or emotional needs
-
Supporting younger children within Early Years settings
We're particularly keen to hear from candidates open to full-time roles. Having access to your own transport is beneficial but not essential. You’ll support the class teacher, help keep pupils engaged and on task, and provide feedback on learning and behaviour.
Working hours are typically Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30. However, we can offer flexible days and part-time hours to suit your availability.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
