Graduate teaching assistant – Widnes Secondary School
Are you a graduate interested in pursuing a career as a secondary teacher? Would you like to gain further experience working within secondary schools prior to beginning a teacher training course?
If so, Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of our client school in Widnes to recruit a number of graduate teaching assistants ahead of the new academic year.
- Full and part time graduate teaching assistant positions available from Easter 2020
- Working within a Roman Catholic secondary school which is a lead teacher training school
- Supporting the learning of pupils across a range of subject areas including; Maths, English and Science
- Up to GBP300 per week whilst gaining invaluable experience
The Headteacher of this school wishes to appoint a number of graduates who are keen to promote learning and can encourage his pupils to reach their full potential. Applicants are required to be educated to degree level (All subjects welcome to apply) and will ideally have transferable or direct school based experience supporting pupils aged 11-16. The successful applicants will hold a number of responsibilities including; working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who have been identified to require additional support within their studies, working closely with pupils making their transition from primary to secondary (year 7) as well as providing additional tuition support to GCSE pupils preparing for examinations.
This Roman Catholic secondary school falls under the Liverpool Diocese and holds an excellent reputation. Located in Widnes, the school is on the outskirts of Wigan town centre making it easily accessible via car or public transport from the surrounding areas; Liverpool, Wigan, Warrington and Prescot.
