Teaching Personnel is partnering with a provision in the North-West of Bristol that helps students find a positive path with the support of dedicated staff and role models. Do you have the qualities to connect with these students and build trusting relationships?
We are looking for someone who is confident in de-escalating challenging behavior, highly resilient, reliable, and, most importantly, empathetic. This role requires understanding and compassion, as these are crucial for supporting the children. While prior classroom experience is not required, a caring attitude and a willingness to help these children are essential.
About the Role:
- Start Date: 2nd of September, with the potential for a contract for the successful candidate.
- Experience: No prior classroom experience required, though it is desired.
- Class Size: Small groups of 6-8 students, fostering strong relationships.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (08:30-3:30), term time only, promoting a healthy work/life balance.
- Compensation: £84 - £95 per day, paid weekly, with accessible commuting routes and parking.
What You Need:
- Passion: A genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives.
- Confidence: Ability to work with young people who exhibit challenging behaviors and struggle to regulate their emotions.
- Skills: Proficiency in de-escalation techniques and experience with challenging behaviors, whether with children or adults.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
