Contract – Part Time and Full Time

About the Opportunity
We are looking for a kind, attentive, and encouraging Teaching Assistant to join one of our caring Primary schools in the West End area. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who truly enjoys supporting children’s learning and emotional development.
You will play a key role in supporting the class teacher, helping pupils to engage, progress, and enjoy their learning. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a genuine difference in their school experience.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting
- A positive and nurturing attitude towards children’s learning and wellbeing
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to use initiative and adapt to different classroom environments
- Patience, reliability, and a proactive approach to supporting learning
- A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent. (not essential but is desirable)
Main responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Work with small groups or individual pupils to support their learning and development
- Assist with classroom preparation and organisation of learning materials
- Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils’ emotional and social wellbeing
- Help maintain a safe, happy, and stimulating classroom environment
- Contribute to the wider life of the school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
