Teaching Assistant
Location: Walsall
Start Date: Autumn Term 2025
Salary: Competetive (dependent on experience)
About the role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in Walsall. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students in their learning journey, while contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

Work with individuals or small groups of pupils to reinforce learning and provide targeted support.

Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.
-
Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring they are included and able to access the curriculum.
-
Help to manage classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.
-
Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, such as lunchtime and school trips.
-
Contribute to the wider life of the school, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude.
Key Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is desirable but not essential).

A patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning.
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
-
A valid DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
