Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel’s SEN Teaching Assistants work closely with pupils who have different learning difficulties such as autism and severe learning needs.

SEN Teaching Assistants motivate, promote and reinforce self-esteem alongside providing individual support to pupils. As an SEN Teaching Assistant you would be required to support learning and help pupils to concentrate on work. The role will be working with secondary school age children who have severe learning difficulties, intensive autism and complex learning difficulties.

This Ofsted graded “Outstanding” school operates with 3 different departments in their school: Structured, Sensory and Conceptual, which focuses on meeting the needs of various learning needs and difficulties. The school also offers older pupils to work off-site 1 day per week to develop and improve their vocational skills.
