An exciting opportunity has arisen at our client school in Sunderland. Are you a passionate individual looking for a new role in January 2024? Are you interested in gaining experience in a secondary school setting? We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis.
Position: Teaching Assistant(1:1)
Pay: (£77 to £90 per day)
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2024
Our client Secondary school is located within Sunderland with access from surrounding areas via the A1231, A183, A690, A1018 or the A19. For candidates who do not drive, there are many public transport links from the surrounding areas of The North East.
Requirements
- Great 1:1 and group behaviour management skills.
- Degree level education is desirable but not required.
- Have a child only DBS on the update service. (Or be willing to apply for it).
- Provide 2 professional references from recent employment.
- Any specific experience supporting young people with additional learning needs or SEN previously is desirable.
Job Brief
- Supporting the students with their Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
- Building relationships with the students to be able to support them in their development.
- Monitoring the progression of the pupils, being able to give feedback to the pupils, the teachers, and their parents.
- Being aware of all safeguarding procedures and dealing with any situations that may arise.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
