Teaching Assistant required at a Secondary School in Stretford

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join the team at a reputable client secondary school in Stretford. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to their academic and personal development.

The successful applicant should be able to start from Monday 15th April, and should expect to earn around £1850 per month, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with SEN in both individual and group settings, ensuring their specific needs are met.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons and activities that cater to the diverse learning abilities of students.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SEN coordinator.
  • Promote independent learning skills and encourage student engagement in classroom activities.
  • Support students with personal care needs, if required.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional needs of students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the changing needs of students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
