Learning Support Assistant – Full Time
September Start | SEN & SEMH Experience Desired

Are you a caring, resilient, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role from September? We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to support pupils within a welcoming and inclusive school environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who is passionate about helping young people succeed both academically and personally.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored support to pupils, helping to create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment where every child can thrive.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting children with SEN and SEMH needs both inside and outside the classroom
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children with SEN and/or SEMH needs
  • Be patient, proactive, and adaptable in their approach
  • Demonstrate strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Hold an up-to-date First Aid qualification (desirable)
  • Be committed to making a positive impact within education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
