SEN Teaching Assistant opportunities across Southampton

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Southampton
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible)

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Support students with their academic and social development in the classroom.
- Help manage and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to track and report on students’ progress.
- Assist with personal care where required, in line with the needs of individual students.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
- A caring, patient, and understanding approach to supporting children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A passion for making a difference and supporting children to achieve their full potential.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
