Position: Year 1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Sheffield and Barnsley

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: £77 - £85 per day (dependent on experience)

Role Overview: As a Year 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for young learners. You will work closely with the classroom teacher to support students' academic, social, and emotional development. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-on-one and small group support to students in various subjects.
• Assisting the teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Contributing to the development of tailored learning resources.
• Helping to maintain a positive and orderly classroom atmosphere.
• Offering individualized attention to students with special educational needs.

Requirements:

• Experience working with Year 1 students or within a primary school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education.
• Ability to adapt and assist in various classroom activities.
• Relevant qualifications and certifications are advantageous.
