Salary: £13.75 an hour
Contract: Part Time / Flexible

SEMH Teaching Assistant – Opportunities via Teaching Personnel

The Role:
You will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers in providing the best support possible to students ranging in the ages 5-19 years old with a primary diagnosis of:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Complex learning challenges
- Speech, Language and Communication difficulties
This school has specialist classrooms, great sports halls, swimming pool and an on-site therapy team to ensure the students are receiving the correct support for them. There are also extensive woodland and outdoor areas for experiential learning, fostering the best environment possible for students and their learning.
Who We Are Looking For:
- ASC and SEMH experience, in or out of an educational setting
- General SEN(D) experience, in or out of an educational setting
- A patient, resilient, innovative and caring individual with a compassionate approach to supporting children
- Able to collaborate with teachers and other support staff
- Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
Working Hours/Benefits
- Part Time / Flexible, between Monday-Friday
- Term Time Only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
