Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire
Salary: £13.75 an hour
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Temporary / Permanent
Start Date: ASAP or negotiable
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Salisbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and emotional/behavioural needs.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum.
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Assisting with personal care where necessary.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
