SEN Teaching Assistant – Taunton & Surrounding Areas

Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support schools across the Taunton Area. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with students with additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive learning environment.

The Role:

  • Work one-to-one or in small groups with students with special educational needs.

  • Assist with planning and delivering tailored learning activities.

  • Support inclusion within mainstream classrooms, fostering confidence and independence.

  • Monitor and provide feedback on student progress to teachers and SEN coordinators.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or similar setting).

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to adapt and respond to individual learning needs.

  • A valid DBS (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
