WE HAVE A TEACHING ASSISTANT OPPORTUNITY IN THE RUGBY AREA OF WARWICKSHIRE TO WORK IN A MAINSTREAM SECONDARY SCHOOL... 

YOU WILL BE SUPPORTING PUPILS ON A 1:1, SMALL GROUP AND WHOLE CLASS BASIS, DEPENDING UPON THE NEEDS OF EACH CLASS.

 

The team at Teaching Personnel are in collaboration with the school to appoint a dedicated, experienced and passionate teaching assistant to work in this beautiful OFTSED rated "Good" school. This role is to start ASAP but can commence straight after the Easter holidays for the right person.

 

Location: Rugby (CV23)

Hours: Full Time (can be flexible for the right person)

Rate of pay: £83-95 per day (depending upon experience)

 

Our ideal applicant will:

- have relevant teaching assistant qualifications

- have experience working as a teaching assistant in UK schools

- have relevant school based experience 

- have experience, knowledge and understanding of special educational needs

- be able to build positive working relationships with pupils, staff and parents

- be confident to work independently and to run small group interventions

- be able to handle difficult situations with empathy and patience

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the class teacher with the delivery of whole class activities, helping manage classroom behaviour effectively

- Support group activities and run interventions to help assist bridging gaps in pupils learning

- Help engage pupils and keep them on task

- Provide positive, specialist social and emotional support for vulnerable pupils

- Communicate effectively with pupils, staff and parents alike

- Maintain a committed and positive stance with regards to safeguarding principles

 

Teaching assistants play an integral part in the smooth running of classroom activities, as well as providing continuity of care and education for all pupils within the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
