Teaching Assistant – The College
Teaching Assistants are required for a fantastic, modern college in the Richmond area. You will be assisting post-16 students - developing both academic studies and life skills such as; shopping, cooking and working within the community. As part of the Teaching Assistant role you will be working 1:1 or lead small groups of learners with special needs.
You do not need any college based experience however Teaching Assistant experience in Primary or Secondary schools will be welcome, especially if you picked up SEN experience.
Teaching Assistants at the college work across both the site in Richmond and in Hounslow, you will be meeting plenty of like minded people who enjoy helping young people and are keen to socialise outside of work.
The College is Easily Accessible via the South Western Railway Line – with great connections to London Waterloo and Clapham Junction. The College is also easily accessed via The Piccadilly Line with good links to Central and West London.
Teaching Assistant - The Role:
- Supporting students 1:1 with numeracy, literacy & sensory integration.
- Encouraging social skills and independent living through community work i.e. shopping, visiting the local farm & cooking.
- Assessing pupils' levels and ability.
- Supporting students with Personal Care (Optional).
The role at the college will be a fixed rate of GBP12 / hour unless otherwise agreed.
