Job description

Teaching Assistants – Support Young People in a Specialist College Setting

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a supportive college environment in Poole, working with young people aged 16–25+ with a range of learning and physical disabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in SEN and personal care who want to make a real difference in students’ lives.

You will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver personalised learning, assist with daily routines, and support students’ independence. 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting young people with learning and physical disabilities

  • Be confident and compassionate in providing personal care, ensuring students’ wellbeing, dignity, and safety at all times.

  • Be patient, resilient, and adaptable

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students and colleagues

  • Work collaboratively to support learning, development, and independence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
