Teaching Assistant

Are you seeking hands-on experience in a secondary school setting? Several Oldham-based schools are recruiting Teaching Assistants to support students across Key Stage 3 and 4 from September 2025, with some positions available sooner.

This role involves supporting students across a range of subjects, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their best. You’ll work closely with classroom teachers, inclusion staff, and external agencies to create a positive and productive learning environment.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is enthusiastic and supportive

• Has a strong understanding of young people’s needs

• Can follow instructions and use initiative

• Wants to develop professionally in a school setting

Full-time and part-time roles are available. Ideal for graduates or those with a background in childcare, coaching, or youth services.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
